Atomico Adds Siraj Khaliq as Partner

atomicoGlobal venture capital firm Atomico added Siraj Khaliq, the co-founder of The Climate Corporation, to its team as partner.

A computer scientist, Siraj was CTO at Climate, a San Francisco, CA-based precision agriculture company which was acquired for $1.1bn by Monsanto in 2013.

Siraj_KhaliqPrior to this, Khaliq worked at Google, in engineering roles on the Google Books and Patent Search projects. He holds an MS degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a BA Hons. in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, UK.
Based in Zurich and London, Khaliq focuses on sourcing, evaluating and negotiating new technology investment opportunities in Europe, including the new wave of machine learning enabled and Software as a Service startups.

Launched in 2006 by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennström, CEO, Atomico has made over 50 investments over four continents, including Skype, Supercell, Rovio, Klarna, and The Climate Corporation via its offices in London São Paulo, Beijing, Istanbul and Tokyo.
