Anagog Completes Series A Funding Round

anagog_logoAnagog Ltd., a Tel Aviv, Israel, and San Jose, Calif.-based developer of a crowdsourced parking network, completed its Series A funding round of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by GigOptix Inc., (NYSE MKT:GIG) a designer, developer, and global supplier of a broad range of analog, digital, and mixed signal components to enable high-speed information streaming over the telecom networks, datacom infrastructure, and consumer electronics links, with participation from a professional Chinese investor who is the founding partner of Ivy Capital, a Chinese VC fund and existing shareholders.
In conjunction with the funding, Dr. Avi Katz, Founder, Chairman and CEO of GigOptix, Inc., will join Anagog’s Board of Directors.

Founded by Gil Levy and Yaron Aizenbud in 2010, and led by Ofer Tziperman, CEO, Anagog operates CrowdPark, a parking network that crowd-sources real time parking events and shows drivers where free spots are.
The company also provides a mobility status SDK that allows detection of a user’s real-time mobility status with an ultra-low battery consumption. The Anagog SDK can tell if the user is currently walking, driving, at home or at work, detect automatically when and where he parked his car, if he is riding a bus, enters or exits a predefined zone, etc.
Furthermore, the SDK can provide certain predictions on the user’s activities.
