Yumist, an Indian low-cost meal delivery service, raised $2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Unilazer Ventures with participation from Orios VP and Steven Lurie.
The company intends to use the funds to expand to other locations.
Founded in November 2014 by Alok Jain and Abhimanyu Maheshwari, Yumist is a food tech company that delivers meals on demand. The company, which is currently servicing Gurgaon, South Delhi, and Bangalore, takes delivery orders through Android and iOS App, as well as through the website. Customers place their orders online/mobile and a meal is sent to them quickly.
