Twine Health, a Boston, MA-based provider of a health coaching platform, closed a $6.75m Series A funding.
Backers included Khosla Ventures, Provenance Venture Forum, and Tower Capital Partners and industry veterans Andy Palmer, James Pallotta and Henri Termeer.
The company intends to use the funds to increase its commercialization activities in 2016.
Led by John Moore and Frank Moss, Twine Health provides a SaaS-based coaching platform that enables risk-bearing organizations to transition from episodic, office-based care to continuous, whole-person care to manage patients with any condition or wellness goals, not just specific chronic conditions or diseases.
Prior to its commercial launch, the company demonstrated the effectiveness in hypertension and diabetes care via clinical trials with Massachusetts General Hospital and Joslin Diabetes Center.
