Textio Raises $8m in Series A Funding

textioTextio, a Seattle, WA-based platform for intelligent text, raised an $8m Series A funding round.

The round was led by enterprise cloud investor Emergence Capital with participation from existing investors Cowboy Ventures, Bloomberg Beta, and Upside Partnership. In conjunction with the funding, Gordon Ritter, Founder and General Partner at Emergence Capital, will join Aileen Lee of Cowboy Ventures on the company’s Board of Directors.

The company will use the funds to build its customer and technology teams and extend the platform.

Founded in 2014 by Kieran Snyder, CEO, and Jensen Harris, CTO, Textio provides an artificial intelligence platform that analyzes business documents as they’re being written to forecast and improve their performance.
The company’s first product, Textio Talent, optimizes job listings, recruiting email, and other talent content.
Clients include Twitter, Microsoft, Thomson Reuters, Broadridge Financial, MLB.com, and others worldwide.
