RiverMend Raises $60M Funding

rivermendRiverMend, an Atlanta, GA-based provider of behavioral health services to people suffering from alcohol and drug dependency, dual disorders, eating disorders, obesity and chronic pain, raised a $60m round of funding.

The round was led by Norwest Venture Partners. As part of the new investment, Dr. Ryan Harris, Norwest partner, joining as RiverMend Health’s chairman of the board and Dr. Mark Gold as chairman of the company’s Health Scientific Advisory Board.

The company intends to use the funds to expand into new markets across the US.

Led by Edmund Bujalski, CEO, RiverMend Health provides behavioral health services to those suffering from alcohol and drug dependency, eating disorders and other addiction-related diseases.
The company integrates evidence-based medical treatment methods into every aspect of addiction treatment, rehabilitation and recovery. Its physicians, many of whom are Board Certified in the specialty of Addiction Medicine, have direct input into all components of a patient’s treatment, from designing his or her individualized treatment program to providing personal, direct one-on-one medical care.
RiverMend Health, which has 350+ employees across 15 nationwide locations, has relationships with key medical centers, such as Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, Northwestern University and University of Southern California.
