lovepop Raises $300K from Shark Tank Investor Kevin O’Leary

lovepoplovepop, a Boston, MA-based multidimensional gifting company, received a $300k investment from entrepreneur and financier Kevin O’Leary.

The investment, which was closed during the latest episode of ABC-TV’s “Shark Tank,” was made in exchange of a 10% stake.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow the business.

Co-founded by Wombi Rose and John Wise, lovepop makes 3D pop-up cards and handmade multidimensional paper art. Every card is blank so that customers can craft their own messages. E-commerce customers can have a handwritten note added and have the card mailed directly. Retail locations are located at kiosks in train stations and malls, and mobile teams will set up in offices and public spaces.
