Chiron Health, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based provider of telemedicine software and reimbursement services, raised $2.3m in seed funding.
The backers remained undisclosed.
The company will use the funds to increase its marketing efforts.
Led by Andrew O’Hara, Founder & CEO, Chiron Health provides HIPAA-compliant video visit telemedicine software and reimbursement services.
In addition to the funding, the company also announced the release of an iPhone and iPad app for patients. It is also integrating its telemedicine tools with an increasing number of electronic health record systems, including athenahealth, enabling physician practices to schedule and document video visits with no staff behavior change.
