WIB Machines Raises €610K in Funding

logo_WIBWIB Machines, a Palermo, Italy-based vending machine startup, raised €610k in funding.

Backers included UniCredit, which invested €200k via UniCredit Start Lab, Vertis Sgr, CLN Group and other private investors.

The company, which has raised approx. €2.5m in total funding, intends to use the capital to continue to expand operations.

Created within incubator Consorzio ARCA by Nino Lo Iacono and Marco Bicocchi Pichi, WIB Machines is a fully automated, web-based store that allows customers to buy on-site, online, via web or their smartphone, picking up their purchases conveniently 24/7 from the choosen machine.
The solution enables retailers to implement an actual store within strategical locations reaching and satisfying customers needs, leveraging on proximity and convenience concepts.
The company has already deployed its solution in partnership con COOP.
