WaHome, a Seoul, Korea-based on-demand home cleaning service, raised $1m in seed funding.
Backers included Mashup Angels, Sparklabs Global Ventures, Fast Track Asia, Gabriel Fong, and Bae Yong-Joon.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its engineering team to build additional mobile tools for its app, as well as to grow operations nationwide in Korea, as well as internationally in Hong Kong and Japan.
Led by John Lee and Edward Hahn, WaHome is an on-demand apartment cleaning service available online and via Android and iOS apps. The company, which says it currently has 1,200 users and approx. 350 cleaners on the platform, is also growing in other categories including home mantainance.
