Truelancer, a New Delhi, India-based globally curated freelance marketplace, raised a seed funding of undisclosed amount.
Backers included USA based BlackstoneValleyGroup led by Raghu Vohra, Dr. Aditya Dev Sood, Kamal Bansal and other angel investors. In conjunction with the funding, Raghu Vohra will join Truelancer’s board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to scale up the marketing efforts to bring more work on the platform and expand the product for enterprise clients.
Launched in September 2014 by Dipesh Garg, CEO & Cofounder, Truelancer.com operates an online platform to hire skilled people and find work. Currently focused on capturing the Asian Market, the platform currently has more than 200,000 skilled freelance professionals available to be hired as developers, designers, content writers, virtual assistants, growth hackers, social media experts etc.
