Semantics3, a San Francisco CA-based provider of a product API that gives access to a database of normalized e-commerce product, UPC, and pricing data for apps and analytics, raised a bridge round financing of $1.55m.
The round was led by Belgian vc firm E-Merge, with participation from Zillionize.
The company, which has raised $2.15m in total funding, will use the funds to continue to add new features and expand operations.
Led by Sivamani Varun, Co-founder/CEO, Semantics3 provides pull product metadata including purchase URLs, prices, UPCs, images, product names etc., using HTTP GET requests driven by search, URL, website, brand and category query functionality, as well as Push APIs, which offer frequent updates about important products and send HTTP POST notifications each time a price change is detected.
The company currently has a team of 17 in its offices in two different continents.
