Qraved, a Jakarta, Indonesia-based food service startup, secured $8m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Richmond Global Ventures and Gobi Partners with participation from new investor GWC and existing investors Convergence Ventures, 500 Startups, Toivo Annus and M&Y Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop its core mobile and web applications with new features, expand its presence in Indonesia and accelerate the growth of its user base through marketing and promotions.
Launched in September 2013 by Steven Kim, CEO, Qraved is a food discovery service, with over one million monthly users across its web and mobile applications. It offers a restaurant directory, which covers more than 25,000 venues in Jakarta and Bali. The app combines venue search and discovery features, user generated reviews, ratings and photos as well as discount offers at participating restaurants.
