Printr Raises €750K in Funding

printrPrintr, an Enschede, the Netherlands-based 3D printing software company, raised €750k in funding.

Backers included unnamed investors and entrepreneurs.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the team, scale the product and increase the number of users.

Established in in 2014 as a spin­off from the University of Twente vby Douwe Bart Mulder, CEO, Cecile van der Waal, COO, and Chris ter Beke, CTO, Printr has created Formide, an ecosystem for makers, schools and offices where users can create items on their 3D printer.  The company, which also has a second office in Amsterdam, recently launched the Element, a straming device that plugs info an existing 3D printer via USB.
