Verisma Systems Receives Private Equity Investment

verismaVerisma Systems, Inc., a Pueblo, Colorado-based health information technology company, received a private equity investment of undisclosed amount.

Backers included Blue Heron Capital NewSpring Capital, Jim Crook, former president of IDX Systems, and Jim Riley, former president of Capario. In conjunction with the funding, Riley, an operating advisor with Blue Heron, will join Verisma’s board.

The company will use the proceeds to expand sales and marketing, technology and management.

Led by Ken Thompson, Chairman, Verisma is a health information technology provider focused on delivering cloud-based Release of Information (ROI) solutions to healthcare organizations across the country to manage the release of patient medical records.
