U.S. Venture Partners Closes New Venture Capital Fund at $281M

usvpU.S. Venture Partners (USVP), a Menlo Park, CA-based venture capital firm, closed a new fund at approximately $281m.

According to a regulatory filing with the SEC, the fund is called U.S. Venture Partners XI, L.P. It also shows that 49 unnamed investors participated in the offering. General Partners Steve Krausz, Jon Root, Casey Tansey, Rick Lewis are the people related with the raise.

Founded 1981, USVP focuses on early-stage ventures in information technology and health care. Areas of interest include enterprise software IT security, consumer internet, mobile, and e-commerce, healthcare, and IT-enabled healthcare services.
Since inception, the firm has invested over $2.7 billion in more than 450 companies.
