Sweeten, a New York Ciy-based platform that connects homeowners to renovation professionals, secured $3.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Navitas Capital with participation from Overnight Capital and Gotham Gal Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand to new cities beyond New York, add a network of local project managers, and offer general contractors more opportunities to secure business leads.
Founded in 2011 by Jean Brownhill-Lauer, CEO, Sweeten provides a renovation matchmaking platform connecting homeowners to a curated network of screened general contractors.
The current Sweeten project size averages $100K.
