HonkMobile, a Toronto, Canada-based provider of on-demand mobile payments for parking, secured $3m in seed funding.
The round was led by Impression Ventures with participation from other angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to scale sales, marketing and technology infrastructure to support its growth across North America.
Led by founder & CEO Michael Back, HonkMobile provides cloud-based technology that streamlines parking by allowing users to search, pay for, and top up parking from their mobile phone, tablet or any Internet connected device.
The app, which can be downloaded for free on both iOS and Android at www.honkmobile.com or via the App Store or Google Play, also allows them to store and manage receipts.
The solution is already accepted at over 400 locations and 15,000 parking spaces across Canada and the United States.
