Glamsquad Raises $15M in Series B Venture Capital Financing

glamsquadGlamsquad, a NYC-based provider of mobile beauty services, raised $15m in Series B financing.

The round was led by New Enterprise Associates with participation from existing investors SoftBank Capital, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Montage Ventures and AOL’s BBG Ventures. As part of this Series B round, Dayna Grayson, a general partner of NEA, has joined the GLAMSQUAD Board of Directors.

The company, which has raised $24m to date, intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth nationwide, expand its engineering and marketing capabilities and explore preliminary development of new products and services. Areas of focus will include bridal services, Glamsquad-branded products and e-commerce capabilities.

Launched in January 2014 by Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, CEO, and Jason Perri, Chairman, Glamsquad provides a platform connecting independent beauty professionals directly to clients in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
The company coordinates the delivery of professional beauty services such as independent hair stylists, makeup artists and nail technicians to home, office or hotel.
The services are booked through the app or website.
