Funderbeam Raises €655k in Seed Funding

funderbeamFunderbeam, a Tallinn, Estonia-based subscription service for startup and investor research, raised €655k ($745k) in seed funding.

The round was led by Rockspring, with participation from Skype cofounder Jaan Tallinn, Kei Aar, 3TS Capital Partners, Pascal Isbell, Richard Parsonson, David Braben, Tim Parsonson, David Cummings (venture partner at Draper Esprit), Joe Schorge, and Chris Wade.

The company, which has raised €1.75m ($2m) in total funding, intends to use the capital to launch a startup marketplace based on blockchain technology.

Led by founder and CEO Kaidi Ruusalepp, Funderbeam combines startup data intelligence with blockchain-based investment syndication and trading on aftermarket to create a marketplace that will allow users to invest and trade in startups online.

The company plans to launch it in beta in late 2015.
