Dome9 Security Raises $8.3M in Series B Financing

Dome9Dome9 Security, a Menlo Park, CA-based security and compliance platform for public clouds, raised $8.3m in Series B financing.

The round was led by ORR Partners with participation from JAL Ventures, Pinnacle and Lazarus Israel Opportunity Fund and existing investor Opus Capital Ventures.

The company, which has raised a total of $13m to date, intends to use the funds to grow its sales and marketing efforts, and expand its product portfolio for purpose-built cloud security solutions.

Led by Zohar Alon, CEO & Co-Founder, Dome9 Security provides a platform to protect cloud infrastructure. It leverages cloud-native technologies to allow users to visualize security risks, verify and enforce security policies, and remediate threats to ensure continuous secure application delivery in cloud.
Dome9’s self-managed cloud service is trusted by more than 250 enterprise customers to protect clouds over Amazon Web Services (AWS), Windows Azure, IBM/Softlayer and many others.

In addition to the funding, the company also announced the appointment of several industry veterans to its board: Avery More, Founder and Managing Partner of ORR partners, seed investor and board member at SolarEdge (NASDAQ: SEDG) joined as Chairman of the Board along with Joshua Levinberg, Founder and Managing Partner at JAL Ventures, and co-founder of Gilat Satellite Networks (NASDAQ: GILT). Venture investor and Silicon Valley executive Herb Madan also participated in the round and has joined the advisory board.
Additionally, Dome9 added Robert (Bob) Darabant as Chief Revenue Officer.
