Cytegic Completes $3M Second Angel Funding Round

cytegic_final_logoCytegic, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based provider of cybersecurity risk management solutions, completed $3m second round of angel funding.

Backers included:
– former SVP at a global investment management firm with more than $450 billion in assets under management Paul Jenkel,
– Cytegic chairman and former head of Israel’s Internal Security Agency and ambassador to Denmark Carmi Gillon,
– chairman emeritus of The Bernstein Companies LLC, Ambassador Stuart A. Bernstein (Ret.), and
– partner and IP law expert at Greenfield Stein & Senior Kenneth L. Stein.

The company, which has raised $6m in total funding, intends to use the funds to accelerate its U.S. expansion, starting with the opening of its U.S. headquarters in New Jersey and the addition of Josh Morris as vice president of Sales, North America.

Launched in January 2015 by Shay Zandani, CEO, Cytegic provides a platform (comprised of the Cyber Decision Support System (CDSS), Cyber Maturity Assessment (CyMA) and Dynamic Trend Analysis (DyTA) modules) that analyzes an organization’s cyber risk posture against external threat intelligence; evaluates the potential impact of changes; and then presents risk scores that enable board-level oversight and decision-making.

The company serves customers in various sectors including the insurance, financial services and legal industries.
