Cybereason, a Boston, MA-based cybersecurity company, raised $59m in Series C funding.
The round was led by SoftBank Corp., a subsidiary of SoftBank Group Corp. (TOKYO: 9984), with participation from CRV and Spark Capital. As part of the deal, SoftBank and Cyberreason will build a service that helps Japanese organizations defend against cyber attacks.
The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate growth.
Led by Lior Div, CEO and Co-founder, Cybereason provides a detection and response platform that leverages big data, behavioral analytics and machine learning to uncover, in real-time, complex cyber-attacks designed to evade traditional defenses. It automates the investigation process, connects isolated malicious events and visually presents a full malicious operation.
The solution is available as an on premise solution or a cloud-based service.
The company also has offices in Tel Aviv, Israel.
