Codacy Raises $1.1M in Funding

codacyCodacy, a Lisbon, Portugal-, London, UK- and San Francisco, CA-based provider of a code review platform, raised $1.1m in funding.

Backers included Caixa Capital Risc, Join Capital, E.S. Ventures, Espirito Santo Ventures and Faber Ventures and business angels such as Henrique de Castro.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand the platform and add new support for programming langages.

Led by Jaime Jorge and João Caxaria, Codacy provides an optimization platform for developer to cut time out of code reviews. Used by over 8,000 developers worldwide, Codacy support Scala, Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Python, PHP, Coffeescript and CSS.

A graduate of London’s Seedcamp accelerator, the company was chosen as the winner of the 2014 Web Summit Pitch competition, and will be present at the 2015 Web Summit.
