Arxis Capital Group, a New York-based electronic trading firm specializing in the automated market making of global securities, received an investment from private equity firm Crestview Partners.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company will use the proceeds from the investment to expand across geographies and asset classes and launch client-focused wholesale market making division.
Founded in 2014 by CEO Gene Reilly, the former head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s global quantitative market making desk, and also led by Executive Chairman Tom Joyce, the former Chairman and CEO of Knight Capital Group, Arxis operates a technology-driven trading platform that provides liquidity in financial markets by offering to buy and sell securities on an automated basis.
The company also has operations in London and Hong Kong.
