Althea, a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based ecommerce platform selling Korean beauty products, raised seed funding from 500 Startups.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Co-founded by Frank Kang and Christopher Cynn, and Jae Kim, Althea sells Korean authentic skincare, makeup, cleanser and pack and mask products packaged in a beauty box.
The company, which delivers its products from a warehouse in Korea, promises the price of the products is always reasonable and has a strong returns policy.
