Yellow Point Equity Partners, a Vancouver, Canada-based private equity firm, closed its fourth buyout fund of undisclosed amount.
Led by Brian Begert, Managing Partner, Yellow Point backs later-stage growth companies based primarily in Western Canada making investments of between $10m to $35m.
The first investment has been made in Edo Japan, a fast-casual Japanese restaurant franchisor which has more than 100 locations across Western Canada and aims to use the proceeds to continue to expand operations.
Founded over 35 years ago and led by Tom Donaldson, CEO, Edo has provided patrons with food prepared in a traditional Teppan-style. Popular dishes include Sukiyaki Beef and Teriyaki Chicken, yakisoba noodles, udon soup, sushi and other creations.
