Voalte Raises $17M in Series D Funding

Voalte, a Sarasota, Florida-based developer of healthcare communication technology, raised $17m in Series D funding.

The round was by Ascension Ventures, Cerner Capital, Inc., an affiliate of Cerner Corporation, and Bedford Funding.

The company, which has raised nearly $60m in total, intends to use the funds to continue to grow operations.

Founded in 2008 by Trey Lauderdale, CEO, Voalte develops smartphone apps that enable care teams inside and outside the hospital to access and exchange information securely.
The company’s solutions are used by over 50,000 caregivers at more than 150 healthcare organizations throughout the United States every day.
