SheerID, a Eugene, Or-based provider of a customer verification solution, closed a $5.3M funding round.
The round was led by Voyager Capital with participation from Arnold Venture Group.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to scale into new markets and geographies.
Launched in 2011 and led by Jake Weatherly, CEO, SheerID provides enterprises with an eligibility verification platform to accurately and instantly verify whether or not their customer qualifies for a special offer like student, active duty military, veteran, first responder, or teacher offers, protecting the exclusivity of the offer and eliminating fraud.
The company’s verification services can be configured for any e-commerce website, internal customer sales/support system, mobile application, or POS system.
Customers include DIRECTV, Best Buy, Newegg, Anthropologie, Tommy Hilfiger, Foot Locker, Costco, and Amazon.
