Phantom Cyber Raises $6.5M in Series A Funding

Phantom Cyber, a Palo Alto, Calif.-provider of security automation and orchestration solutions, raised $6.5m in Series A funding.

Backers included Atlanta-based TechOperators and Blackstone (NYSE: BX), with participation from Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), John Thompson, CEO of Virtual Instruments and former CEO of Symantec, and Rein Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Thomas E. Noonan, former CEO of Internet Security Systems (ISS), and General Partner at TechOperators, will join Phantom’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate market penetration and product development.

Founded by enterprise security veterans Oliver Friedrichs and Sourabh Satish, Phantom Cyber provides a security automation and orchestration platform that integrates with an enterprise’s existing security technologies to provide a connective layer between them.
The company currently provides integration with over 30 security solutions.
