NoviFlow Inc., a Montreal, Canada-based provider of Software Defined Networking (SDN) forwarding plane solutions, closed a $9.0m Series A round of funding.
The round was led by Fonds de solidarité FTQ with participation from W3 Investissement and Somel Investments and previous investors and directors of NoviFlow.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its global sales resources and marketing activities, and further invest in its network processor-based switching solutions and applications.
Founded in March 2012 as a spin out of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and led by president and CEO Dominique Jodoin, NoviFlow
provides OpenFlow-based switching solutions to network carriers, data center operators and enterprises.
The company also has offices in Sunnyvale and Seattle.
