henQ Launches €50M Third Venture Capital Fund

henq-logoAmsterdam, the Netherlands-based venture capital firm henQ launched its third fund, at €50m.

Backed by several software and internet entrepreneurs and family offices as well as by The European Investment Fund, henQ III will focus on investing in Dutch early stage software startups with a scalable b2b platform and recurring monthly revenue.

Led by by partners Herman Hintzen, Coen van Duiven and Floris van Alkemade, henQ aims to invest in companies where they are ready to expand internationally, especially in the USA. The team expects to finance up to twenty companies with a seed check of €100k-500k. Successful companies can count on follow-up rounds up to €10m also co-investing with international) firms.

Founded in 2006, henQ has exited Wakoopa, Immidio, Mirror42, BackupAgent and Videostrip while the current portfolio includes Studytube, Casengo, Mendix, Xite, Monolith and Housing Anywhere.
