Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT), a provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, acquired Capterra, an Arlington, VA-based company that allows people to find the best business software.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition is consistent with Gartner’s growth strategy to invest in developing products and services for clients to make the right technology-related decisions.
Founded in 1999, Capterra works with thousands of vendors to understand their products in order to match companies with the best software for their needs. It The platform features software ratings, reviews, buying guides, and a comprehensive list of business software products.
