Super Evil Raises $26M in Funding

superevilSuper Evil Megacorp., a San Mateo, Calif.-based gaming company, raised $26M in funding.

The round was led by Index Ventures (Supercell, Skype and others) with participation from Yuri Milner, Jim Breyer of Breyer Capital and Korea Investment Partners as well as existing investors Signia Ventures, General Catalyst, Raine Ventures, Initial Capital and CrossCut.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to build additional gaming experiences on touch screens and to evolve Vainglory into a mass-market esport.

Co-founded by Bo Daly (co-founder and CEO), Stephan Sherman (co-founder and CCO), Kristian Segerstrale (COO and Executive Director) in 2012, Super Evil creates games that deliver console-quality graphics, precision controls and social gameplay experiences.
The company’s first game is Vainglory, a Multiplayer Online Battle game for tablets.
