Kothari will lead the creation of venture opportunities from concept through market development, team building, technology transition, seed funding, partner and investor identification, and launch.
Previously, he was a director of commercial ventures and licensing in SRI Ventures, with a focus on healthcare, engineering, and physical sciences. Kothari first joined SRI as a business development consultant and entrepreneur-in-residence and became a program director in SRI Robotics.
He has a background founding and leading venture capital-backed startups in the medical device and digital health areas. Prior to joining SRI, Kothari co-founded and was CEO of Mytrus, which offers a cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) platform for direct-to-participant clinical trials. Earlier, Kothari was vice president of R&D quality and operations for Simpirica Spine.
