Hyper Raises $1.1M in Seed Funding

HyperHyper, a New York, NY-based curated video platform for short-term content, raised $1.1m in seed funding.The round was led by Advancit Capital with participation from Lowercase Capital, Broadway Video Ventures, Freeland Ventures and Mesa Ventures.

Founded in 2015 by CEO Markus Gilles, Hyper has officially launched a curated video platform for quality short-form content, with a design-focused iPad app to give users a daily collection of hand-picked videos from around the internet, covering the worlds of tech, culture, style, and global stories. A dedicated group of filmmakers and journalists takes into account storytelling, visual appeal, production value, and journalistic impact to deliver videos, scouting the latest uploads from hundreds of sources and sharing them into hand-selected editions of no more than a dozen new videos per day.
