Datameer, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a data analytics platform, raised $40m in Series E funding.
The round was led by ST Telemedia, with participation from Top Tier Capital Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers, Redpoint, Next World Capital and Software AG. In conjunction with the funding, Nikhil Eapen, ST Telemedia, joined Datameer’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to expand globally.
Founded in 2009, Datameer provides an end-to-end big data analytics application purpose-built for Hadoop that combines self-service data integration, analytics and visualization functionality.
It is used by hundreds of customers, including CIOs, CMOs, CTOs, doctors, scientists, law enforcement officials, and olympic athletes.
