Wish Acquires Locket

yunhaWish, a San Francisco-based mobile commerce platform, acquired Locket, a San Francisco, CA-based intelligent personalization platform that brings news and other content to smartphone lock screens.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. The acquisition will enable Wish to leverage Locket’s expertise in engaging users with intelligent recommendations and in creating a native mobile experience.

Founded in 2013 by CEO Yunha Kim (read our August 2013 interview with her), Locket had raised $3.7m from Tyra Banks, Turner Broadcasting, Great Oaks VC and other angels reaching more than one million users.
Kim will be joining the Wish executive team as Head of Growth to lead growth initiatives and communications for Wish and its family of mobile shopping apps, including Wish, Geek, Cute, and Mama.

Led by Peter Szulczewski, CEO, Wish aims to recreate the shopping mall experience on mobile devices. It has more than 100 million users worldwide.
