UXPin Raises $5M in Series A Funding

icon2UXPin, a Gdynia, Poland- and Mountain View, CA-based startup providing a wireframing and prototyping tool, raised $5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by True Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations. It is hiring.

Founded in 2010 by Marcin Treder, CEO, UXPin is a user experience design tool that spans the entire designer’s workflow. With teams in both Poland and Silicon Valley, UXPin provides a collaborative platform that allows entire teams (designers, PMs, developers, marketers, business analysts and CEOs) to participate in the design process. Teams can design, collaborate on and present both high- and low-fidelity, fully-interactive wireframes and prototypes. The tool is used by companies such as Microsoft, NBC, USA Today, Sony and Adidas and design agencies, such as Barrel in New York.

The company has also created a free online design library with 34 e-books.

Before True Ventures, UXPin was initially funded by Innovation Nest in Poland.
