TrapX Security, a San Mateo, CA-based cybersecurity company, raised $9m in its Series B funding round.
The round was led by Intel Capital and Liberty Israel Venture Fund with participation from current investors BRM Group and Opus Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth across the business, spanning the development of deception technology, the hiring of engineering and marketing talent, and the expansion of global sales initiatives.
Led by Greg Enriquez, CEO, TrapX delivers deception-based cyber security defense. Its solutions detect, analyze and defend against new zero-day and APT attacks in real time.
