Survata, a San Francisco, CA-based platform to conduct survey research, raised $6m in Series A financing.
The round was led by IDG Ventures with participation from Bloomberg Beta, Alexis Ohanian & Garry Tan, and strategic angels Tom Patterson, a former SVP at MarketTools, SoftTech and PivotNorth. In conjunction with the funding, Phil Sanderson from IDG Ventures joined Survata’s board.
The company intends to use the funds for continued improvement of its current offerings, as well as building new products, such as trackers, API implementations, B2B research products, and other subscription products, growing its Publisher Network and hiring a full time employee devoted to managing and growing the network.
Led by Chris Kelly, CEO, and James W. Warner, CTO, Survata allows users to create surveys on new products and features, test projects and monitor consumer behavior. Have a look at how it works here.
The company participated in Y Combinator in 2012.
