ShopKeep Raises $60m in Series D Funding

shopkeepShopKeep, a NYC-based technology and business management solution for independent merchants, raised $60m in Series D funding.

The round was led by investor Activant Capital with support from existing investors. In conjunction with the funding, Steve Sarracino, founder of Activant Capital, will be joining ShopKeep’s board of directors.

The company, which has raised $97.2M in total to date, intends to use the capital to grow its overall US customer base, strengthen industry partnerships, and launch international operations, starting with the UK this month.

Led by Norm Merritt, President and CEO, ShopKeep provides an iPad-based point-of-sale and payment technology solution and a cloud-based platform offering customer marketing, inventory and staff management, back-end reporting and detailed analytics.
It has more than 18,000 customers and offices in Portland, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Belfast and London.
