ShoCard Raises $1.5M in Seed Funding

shocardShoCard, a Palo Alto, CA-based a digital identity card, raised $1.5m in seed funding.

Backers included Morado Ventures Partners, AME Cloud Ventures, Enspire Capital and Digital Currency Group.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the team and close further partnerships.

Led by Armin Ebrahimi and Jeff Weitzman, ShoCard provides an identity platform built on a public blockchain data layer that protects consumer privacy. Working on mobile phones, it protects and verifies identity using public/private key encryption with multiple keys, data hashing, out-of-band communication, data matching, and two-factor authentication.
