Minimally Invasive Devices Receives $5M Credit Facility

floshield-logoMinimally Invasive Devices, Inc. (MID), a Columbus, Ohio-based developer of the FloShield which provides uninterrupted visual clarity during laparoscopic procedures, received a $5m credit facility.

Square 1 Bank provided the debt financing.

The proceeds will be used for additional working capital and continued growth.

Founded by laparoscopic surgeon Dr. Wayne Poll, MID’ provides FloShield, which eliminates the need to remove the laparoscope to clean or defog it during the procedure, providing surgeons with a clear view, without interrupting the surgical flow.
While in use, the technology actively protects the laparoscope’s lens from condensation, smoke and debris and also flushes the lens if it gets dirty during surgery—all without having to remove the scope.
FloShield is sold in the US and 10 countries overseas.
