Mallzee Raises £2.5M in Funding

mallzeeMallzee, an Edinburgh, UK-based personalized shopping app, raised £2.5m in funding.

The round was led by The Royal Mail Group with participation from other investors that included the Scottish Investment Bank, Par Equity, and technology entrepreneurs Gareth Williams (Skyscanner), Rob Dobson (Actix), Chris Van Der Kuyl and Paddy Burns (4j Studios, the makers of Minecraft console).

Founded in 2013 by CEO Cally Russell, Mallzee provides a personalised shopping app used by thousands of users daily in over 125 countries.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its global offering and to offer its new insights tool to retailers to enable them to gain actionable insights into what products to market and stock.
