GrollTex Raises Seed Funding from The Triton Fund

GrollTex, a San Diego, CA-based company with technology for the mass production of graphene, raised a seed funding from The Triton Fund (TTF).

The amount of the round was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate commercialization of their technology.

Led by UC San Diego NanoEngineering Ph.D. candidate Aliaksandr (Alex) Zaretski, GrollTex has developed an environmentally benign process to grow graphene with the same properties as traditional manufacturing on a copper substrate and overlaid with a sheet of nickel.
