Adphorus, an Istanbul, Turkey-based performance marketing platform and Facebook® Marketing Partner, raised $1m in seed funding.
The round was led by European angel investors and 500 Startups. In conjunction with the funding, Şekip Can Gökalp, founder of premium mobile ad network mobilike (recently sold to Opera Mediaworks) and Adphorus investor, joined the board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds for platform expansion in Western Europe and global emerging markets.
Led by Volkan Çağsal, CEO and founder, Adphorus provides performance marketers with an ad platform for Facebook ad optimization. Its offering includes a SaaS solution, including marketing automation and algorithmic optimization to increase conversions.
Adphorus works with e-commerce, travel and mobile companies including trivago.
