Chicago, IL-based private equty firm Valor Equity Partners closed its third fund at $490m.
Fund III, which exceeded its initial $350m target, received support from existing institutional pension and large family office clients.
Led by Antonio Gracias, Founder and CEO, Valor makes expansion, growth, and buyout investments providing active operational support to companies as they scale and accelerate growth.
Over the last 20 years, the firm has made 66 investments in 34 platforms. The firm manages approximately $1.0 billion through its funds and side investment vehicles and is currently deploying capital through Fund III. As of March 31, 2015 approximately 32% of Fund III’s capital had been invested in Addepar, Fooda, Porch.com, Renovate America, and SpaceX.
