Talkdesk Raises $15M in Series A Financing

talkdeskTalkdesk, a San Francisco, CA-based call center software provider, raised $15m in Series A financing.

The round was led by DFJ with participation from existing investor Storm Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Josh Stein, Partner at DFJ, will join Talkdesk’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its product, design and engineering teams, while growing its marketing and customer support capabilities globally.

Led by Tiago Paiva, Founder and CEO, Talkdesk has developed a cloud-based call center software solution featuring IVR, skills-based routing, call conferencing, comprehensive reporting and integrating with CRM applications including Zendesk, Desk.com, Salesforce, Zoho, SugarCRM and Help Scout.
It requires no phones, hardware, coding or downloads and aims to eliminate the cost, complexity and long implementation times associated with other cloud-based solutions.

Customers include Weather.com, Homejoy, Anki, DoorDash, Whistle and Edmunds.com.

The company has more than 70 employees in San Francisco, Lisbon, Portugal and Portland, Oregon.
