SQL Sentry Raises $25M in Funding

sqlsentrySQL Sentry, a Charlotte, N.C.-based provider of software for SQL Server database professionals, raised $25m in funding.

Mainsail Partners made the equity investment. Gavin Turner and Gavin Turner, managing partners at Mainsail Partners, and Vinay Kashyap, a vice president at Mainsail, will join SQL Sentry’s board.

The capital will be used to accelerate product development, scale sales and marketing, and expand and enhance its client services.

Incepted in 2004 and led by Greg Gonzalez, CEO, and Ken Teeter, executive vice president, SQL Sentry provides performance monitoring, management and optimization software for Microsoft SQL Server databases, across physical, virtual and cloud environments. Its suite of products includes Performance Advisor, Event Manager, Plan Explorer and Fragmentation Manager.
